--------------------
...Years ago I refused to do things that were alien to a patient’s well-being. That’s a strange sort of statement, but unfortunately quite true. Fact is, there have been so many forces and influences intervening between the doctor and his or her patient and the practice of ‘good medicine’ (for the benefit of the patient), that the very nature of medical decisions have changed over the years, and to such degree that what had been considered ‘wrong medicine’ years ago, today is routinely being regarded as ‘okay’ medicine (for both ‘the rich’ and ‘the poor,’ mind you!), simply because the majority of medical professionals are practicing that way!
...For example, a 30 to 50 percent cesarean section rate is outright wrong, and that’s what it’s approaching today in various areas of society. [I use cesarean section as just one typical example of many similar distorted and errant medical thought processes occurring routinely throughout the medical health care system of society today.] With this sort of figure you don’t have to be a doctor to know that too many women are being operated upon needlessly, and wrongly. But ironically, much in he way of these surgeries are now considered ‘good medicine.’ Strange. It looks ‘good’ in a courtroom...but not ‘good’ for the patient. Might be okay for the baby, but what good is it to the baby if the baby’s mother has been harmed, or maimed, or eventually has a complication from it, or even dies!
...It happens. Surgeries can result in death and all sorts of complications. That’s just the way it is, obviously. And forget the immediate complications. Long range complications often go unrecognized since they might occur so far off into the future.
For example, what about repeat operations wherein it’s routine to have formed intraabdominal adhesions from the initial surgery, and wherein it would then be much more likely to enter the abdomen and perforate the bowel, or even the bladder...with feces dumped into the abdominal cavity with resultant peritonitis, sepsis...and death. In medical school, I actually was part of a research team .attempting to prevent the occurrence of adhesions which occur secondary to just about most all surgical procedures. I’ll bet most of you didn’t know that.
...And granted, I would agree that the nature of cesarean sections would suggest less in the way of adhesions than some other surgeries, but they occur nevertheless, and I’m only using cesarean sections as just one example, not only of a surgical procedure that is being over-utilized and for the wrong reasons, but as just one example of the numerous short term and long range complications secondary to surgery.
[I worked with rats pretty much daily throughout one summer injecting various solutions into their abdominal cavity to try to prevent adhesions.]
Needless to say, the formation of adhesions wherever surgery is done is still a major problem with surgical procedures to this day, and depending upon the kind of surgeries performed, all kinds of complications can result, like I said, even long range, years later.
So, what am I saying here? NO SURGERY, NO MATTER HOW SEEMINGLY MINOR, IS TO BE TAKEN LIGHTLY!...and not just because of adhesions. Many other problems, and serious anesthetic effects. You name it.
If you think to take this statement lightly, tell that to the elderly woman years later when she’s been rushed to the emergency room with an acute life-threatening obstruction of the intestines from adhesions having wrapped around them, and cut off their blood supply and all kinds of things! Oh, so now let’s blame somebody. Go blame everybody forty years before for her possible death, all those who flippantly took the indications for surgery lightly. Go blame ignorance and stupidity, and selfishness and greed...and a whole bunch of other ‘wonderful’ virtues...running rampant throughout society... today!
You want us to be doctors or not?...this is the way it works. I have no idea how it’s happened. You don’t believe it? Ask your doctor. He’ll know. Why weren’t you told? A whole bunch of things.
You know, I believe the term term “doctor,” the derivation of the word, has something to do with “education.” A doctor is supposed to educate. So what happened? What happened to people. What’s going on is like insanity to a logical, learned, caring doctor. But only to the doctor. He or she is the only one who really knows. Don’t you realize?
You don’t just let things be done to you. You’re the patient. You’re part of the equation...of the doctor to patient relation. I’m having problems wondering how it’s ever gotten to be this way. I’m wondering about the nature of man. I’ve got to figure that out. This is supposed to be a civilized society. Or am I still so naive. Not quite. Not anymore. Problem is you’re gullible. You don’t know where to turn. You don’t have the knowledge. These things I tell you...they’re common knowledge to good doctors. So, what’s going on? What happened? Look around. That’s what happened. It happened years ago in medicine. Now it’s happening throughout society in almost every walk of life. Values, integrity, virtues...they’re going...they’re gone. Proper human respect for others...doing what is ‘right.’ That must be important, ‘right’? Values must be brought back. Loyalty, love...their inherent meanings have fallen to the wayside. Why do you think the family unit has fallen apart? Same thing. It’s all one thing. They’re all interrelated. Just like medicine...and disease of the body. You don’t just look at one part of the body or one organ system. You look at the whole body as a unit to really be able to figure things out. You look at interrelations. But we don’t do that, do we? Well, we better...we better now, we better begin, or else.
...That’s what this ‘true wellness’ thing is, that I’m talking about. Your whole...your entire lifestyle...interrelated...look at it that way...and you really prevent disease...and even offset many of the signs and symptoms which we otherwise have improperly been attributing to aging.
So what have we been doing as part of our new ‘no value’ system? I use the cesarean section as an example of what is going on to the tune of hundreds of examples throughout all of modern medicine! In this one instance, for example, conveniently ignoring a whole load of later problems and complications just to offset being blamed now for some current potential birthing problem...it’s all been taken totally out of context to the point I, having been on obstetrician, no longer even recognize the medicine being practiced. Much of what is accepted routine medicine today, years ago, had I practiced that way, I’d have been kicked out of medical school and my residency program. The human body hasn’t changed. Just our values. Our virtue. Our sense of right and wrong.
Like I said, cesarean section...that’s just one obvious perversion of medical thinking of hundreds currently being practiced nowadays. Just words, I know. I say words...but the maiming of people is quite real.
Perhaps the medical professionals feel they were unjustifiably and wrongly frightened into practicing ‘wrong’ medicine because it looked okay ‘legal;y.’ I don’t know. I cannot account for others. To me ‘wrong’ is ‘wrong.’ And I’m not about to be forced into doing something as a doctor that I know is wrong for the patient. I stood my ground and upheld my ideals (that word again) and suffered for it. Yes suffered. But now perhaps, in the long run, I am benefiting from it. Ironically, it has led me to a knowledge few people anywhere in the world are privy to. Circumstances have led me to this knowledge. A path in life I have taken for a number of reasons.
‘GOOD MEDICINE’
I would note that what I call ‘medical medicine’ (‘good’ for the patient) & ‘legal medicine’ (‘legally okay’ but ‘not necessarily good’ for the patient) are apparently two different entities. But no matter. For however you look at it, ‘medically bad’ for the patient is ‘bad,’ & had the medical professionals not given in years ago to what is inherently 'wrong' or ‘misunderstood,’ or had they better explained to society the nature of medicine and the way it is practiced, & not remained so aloof from the public and communicated as I am now doing by virtue of my writing (and have been trying to do for years...but I’m just one person), this medical mess that has transpired would never have occurred in the first place!
...But it did occur, and that’s just water under the bridge now. You can’t go back. So now we’ve got to try to correct things, now...where we're at now. If we can. And that requires understanding. Perhaps my writing will help. I don’t know. But I’m still trying, even though I’ve been pretty ill and almost died recently...or maybe that has given me more determination to help others. My knowledge helped me to survive. You don’t have my knowledge. So I’m trying to help you, so it doesn’t happen to you...what happened to me. I survived it. You would not have. But that’s another story...an important one, for I cannot help but think how many others have already died, who didn't know better.

DOCTORING & MONEY
Doctoring is supposed to help people first and foremost, before considering money. On the other hand, it would be foolish not to think one needs money to survive, but then again, not ‘money’ at the expense of patient care and not at the expense of ‘doing what is inherently ‘right.’ As I said, had this thought been first and foremost in peoples’ minds--first and foremost the ‘saving’ of lives--more money in the long run would have been made by the health care industry because people would have been healthier and in less need of costly medical care.
But, alas, this was not to be. Instead we’ve come into chaos...all the more reason to make this new law work for us, to lead us in a new direction. Health maintenance was originally set up to maintain health, so now, let’s really do that, and we’ll all be better off for it.
But as I said, nobody has really been able to do so, to maintain health to any significant degree. And people in general are fatter and more unhealthy than ever before, and all this in the face of modern medicine and gyms and nutritional products and all sorts of wellness programs. And everybody, it seems, has gotten into the act. Sure, we’ve got a whole load of wellness programs and media hype and products and what not...but none of which has really made a dent throughout society in truly being able to keep people healthier, and if anything, people are becoming sicker, and at earlier ages, earlier than ever before. But, as you might have guessed... ...when it comes to the ‘wellness industry,’ people are still making gads of money!
The ‘powers that be,’ in choosing the criteria to implement this new healthy lifestyle law better be careful. I can tell you right now. The kind of ‘wellness’ needed is not going to come from the current state of ‘wellness’ as is so commonly depicted throughout the country nowadays by the media, magazines, nutritional companies, gyms, exercise machines, on TV. They don’t work. None of them work in the way and to the degree they should be working! Otherwise...the problems we’re having nowadays, we wouldn’t have been having in the first place...and which problems are clearly in the throes of becoming much, much worse--for both ‘the rich’ and ‘the poor,’ mind you--...[‘unhealthier’ people at ‘higher’ costs]....even ‘Kings’ don’t stand a chance when the very nature of ‘good’ medicine has been changed!
By now you should know, success lies in the interrelation of things, old things and ideas and methods interrelated with one another in new ways, alien to anything we really know about today.
I’ll repeat that...
The interrelation of otherwise known factors is new to modern day society. And when put together in order to be able to ‘work,’ these known and familiar factors of exercise and stress management and proper food intake would need take a hundred and eighty degree turn into a new age.
Accept it. It will work no other way. Not because I said it or because it’s my way, but because it’s the way the body works...sort of like having the blueprints for the nature of life itself. And it stems from conventional medicine, but only once having been combined with other fields and therein progressed into the future. There is only one way, with variations of course, based upon individuals being different. That goes without saying. But the generalized overall methods of approach are the same, and will be the same for ‘all people,’ yet ‘tailor fit’ per given individual. Like I said, that goes without saying.
------------
Over the years I’ve been writing this web site and I’ve written books and published magazines and produced videos to detail all these things I’ve been talking about. But it’s just the beginning of a whole new science, an extension of conventional medicine...but combined with many other fields of learning. I’ve generally categorized it as “The Three M’s” - mind, meals and motion. Three broad generalized categories which, when broken down and subdivided, entail hundreds and thousands of subcategories.
Remember, this is not a ‘quick fix,’ and I never said it was easy to do. But then again, once you get a smattering of it...once you get your feet wet in its understanding...fact is, it works pretty much automatically...naturally...because it’s based on ‘natural’ principles of the way the body, living tissue and organ systems work and interrelate with the prevailing environment and the universe within which we live.
What I’m saying here...it’s not really as complicated as, at first sight, one might think. It just seems that way because it’s new and different, while yet being old, ancient even, consisting of previously recognized facts, but looked at and applied in a different way...conceptually...as ‘newly’ derived laws of the universe might be generally applied, but encompassing, first and foremost, interrelations of the physical universe, matter, and our bodies...with the mind.
Fact is, it’s not exercise and food we work on first. It’s the mind.
